What is Remime?
Remime is a reminder service designed to make your life easier by tenfold. It is a simple tool for use as a calendar, with the exception that this calendar can urge you about dates in advance, and remind you about the things that you wanted yourself to know. It is a stress-free service made for use in families, friend's circles and companies.
Why is it stress free?
Because entering a date takes less then a minute, and you don't have to think about remembering it again. Everything is saved on your account, and your reminders come to you by email, on the dates you set.
Why is it a rockin' solution?
Because you don't have to drag your calendar around with you anymore. You don't ever have to worry about remembering things anymore. Because it easy to navigate and edit, and doesn't require much of your time or any organizing skills. Because you can keep your tasks, events, reminders, birthdays and anniversaries all in one place!
You can relax your fabulous brain, and that is rockin'!
How do I start using Remime?
To use our service, you will need a computer, internet connection, and about 8 minutes to get started (fast typists 4 minutes).
How to Register?
If you are a first-time visitor, you will see two big buttons on remime.com page. Either of these will take to the register form. The "Start using now!" button will allow you to first try the service, to enter your Birthdays and Events, and will urge you to save your data by registering on your way out. The "Register now" button will take you directly to the register form, where you will enter information needed for opening an account.
If you have one, you can register by an Open ID.
What is Open ID?
IN the founder's own words, "Open ID is a free and easy way to use a single digital identity across the Internet." You see more about it and get one on OpenID.net. "Open ID eliminates the need for multiple usernames across different websites, simplifying your online experience." What is Open ID?
Why do you need my timezone?
Timezone is needed for the purpose of getting reminders on time. If you are from India, you don't really want to be reminded of your appointment that day on California midnight! Our server will try to enter your timezone based on your IP address, but if it's not correct, we urge you to correct it.
How do I retreive my password?
In every login form on Remime, you will se a "forgot your password?" link. By clicking on it, you will be directed to a single input field where you will need to enter your email address you entered while registering. Then your new password will be sent to your email, and from a link in that mail you will be able to access your account and change your password. As stated in our Terms of Service, you are responsible for keeping your password secure.

What is the difference between Birthdays and Events?
The major difference is in the alarm settings. When entering a Birthday, you are presented with four fixed alarm forms: two Weeks before, one Week before, one Day before and on this Day, you can choose all of them and thy will repeat every year.
Events, on the other hand, can be either repeating, or one-time events, and you are defining the frequency. You can find further information under "What is the difference between Remind me and Repeat alarms?".
The other difference is in the input form. Birthdays can be backed up with information like Name, Email, Address and Interests, while Events have an undefined subject.
So which do I use for what?
Since Birthdays are so many, we created this fixed form for them. Their alarm is a repeating event in itself. You can also use this form for various anniversaries.
Events have absolutely no restrictions for their use. Anything you have to remind yourself of, anything you'd like to jot down for yourself in the future - it all fits there.
What are Hottest Events?
They are Events with already proposed Subject (e.g. "Valentine's Day"), date and message, and you only have to choose the alarm.
What is the difference between Remind me and Repeat alarms?
Remind me alarm offers a one time alarm: On this day and/or x days/weeks before the date of the Event. This alarm won't repeat ever again.
Repeat alarm offers a frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly), and it will repeat on the date of the Event, or on specified days (under Daily).
What is a Quick Add?
It is a simplified version of Add New Birthday/Event, for the times when you are in a hurry.
What is a Get Friend's Birthday?
It is a charming way of asking someone his/her Birthday. If you don't know someone's birthday, you simply enter their email, and we'll send them a link to their secured Add Birthday page, where they can enter the information for you. No one else but them can enter that page, nor can that friend view your account/info.
What is Import?
Import is a way to batch fill your Birthdays via your email provider. You can add all your contacts from the address book. A simple Import Wizard will guide you through 4 steps of importing:
- Choosing your email provider (for now we support Gmail, Yahoomail and Hotmail)
- Singing in (private and protected)
- Choosing contacts to import (from a list)
- Finish
